ABOUT

Bro. & Sis. Wilkerson both grew up as the children of pastors.  Bro. Wilkerson was born into the home of Rev. Jackie & Sharron Wilkerson as they served as pastor of the First United Pentecostal Church in Humboldt, TN, and resided in Humboldt until he and his wife moved to Cookeville in 2010.  Sis. Wilkerson was born into the home of Rev. William & Paula Welch in Lake Charles, LA, and lived in a number of cities in Tennessee and New York as her father pastored churches and evangelized in those states.

Bro. & Sis. Wilkerson met when her father preached a revival in Bro. Wilkerson's home church when they were both around 15 years old.  They corresponded off and on over the years and began dating approximately 8 years later.  They were engaged to be married on New Years Eve in 2009 and married on September 4, 2010.

On July 9, 2012, they welcomed their daughter, Eden Grey Wilkerson, in to the world, and she welcome into the world a new baby brother, Canaan Louis Wilkerson, on January 18, 2015.

Erica Wilkerson

Erica grew up as the daughter of parents who also were pastors.  She graduated in 2008 as a music major with a Bachelor of Arts from Gateway College of Evangelism.  She has served her local congregations as a Sunday School teacher, music director, musician, and Christian school teacher.  Her vocational background includes various office responsibilities, including her current position as manager of the Search Engine Optimization department of a local tire website business.

Jared accepted his call to preach in September of 2001 and immediately began fielding invitations to minister in other churches.  His overall ministry experience includes 13 years of teaching Sunday School, 17 years of youth ministry (including 7 years as youth director & student pastor in 2 different churches), and 14 years of pulpit ministry.

Jared's youth ministry experience began around 1998 when he was asked to become a part of the youth committee at the First United Pentecostal Church in Humboldt, TN, where his father, Rev. Jackie Wilkerson, was the pastor.  In 2007, he was asked to serve as the director of youth ministries, and he held this position until his resignation in 2010.  He was also named assistant to the pastor in 2008 and served in this position concurrently with his position as youth director.

In 2010, he, along with his wife Erica, was asked to move to Cookeville, TN, to serve as student pastor at the First United Pentecostal Church.  He felt led by God in the summer of 2014 to resign his position, and they are scheduled to leave their post as student pastor after December of 2014.   In addition to his direct ministerial experience in the pulpit, Jared's background includes 4 years as a business owner, two years as a member of the board of directors for the Humboldt Chamber of Commerce, and over a year as a marketing consultant.
